Non-Toxic Pest Control Quick Tip - Dryer Sheet Yellow Jacket and Bee Repellent

Here's a bee repellent tip I discovered during a party for my son.

We had his party at a farm in early October and the Yellow Jackets were everywhere. The owner of the farm suggested we put dryer sheets around the tables to repel the yellow jackets and bees. They gave us a box of Bounce Dryer Sheets and we placed them around the food and drinks.

I was shocked that it actually worked. I even put a sheet in the collar of my shirt and not a single bee or yellow jacket bothered me.

A side tip for keeping Bees and Yellow Jackets away in the fall is to have only sugar free drinks and limit sugary snacks when eating outside.

In the early Summer, wasps and yellow jackets look for meat to feed they're young but in the late Summer and Fall they are looking for sugar for themselves. Keep stinging visitors to a minimum by leaving sugary foods and drinks inside.
